Guidance, Trust, Experience - Since 1995
Authorized by Congress in 2010, it took seven years for the United States Mint to introduce the American Eagle One Ounce Palladium Bullion Coin in 2017 - the first major change to the American Eagle bullion coin program since 1997! The first year coin was met with massive demand, selling out quickly. The following year brought about the first-ever Palladium Proof coin, selling out from the Mint in just five minutes - this is the first time a proof finish was ever debuted on a palladium piece. Each year following the initial debut in 2017 brought a new Palladium Eagle - from Reverse Proof to Burnished.
The first Burnished Palladium Eagle was seen in 2020, and the Burnished design returns once again this year. The obverse (heads) of this design features a high-relief likeness of “Winged Liberty” from the “Mercury Dime” obverse designed by world-renowned designer Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse (tails) design features a high-relief version of the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse, also by Weinman, which includes an eagle and a branch.
