Terms and Conditions

Important considerations before you acquire any coin:

Future Projections of Value: When we make projections as to the future value of a coin, we take into account the past history, as well as current events, to describe what may happen to the value of the coin. We base our projections for rare coin prices in part on the history of rare coin performance. If certain rare coins made gains under certain conditions in the past, they have the potential to also increase in value if similar conditions exist in the future. IPM always takes into account the factors of supply and demand. These factors are critical to the success of any rare coin investment.

Risk Factors: While rare coins often represent an excellent investment, you should be aware that the purchase of coins, like any other investment, involves risk. The value of any rare coin fluctuates over time based on supply and demand. The value of any rare coin may therefore go up as well as down over any given period of time. Coins are not an overnight get-rich quick opportunity; some appreciate substantially, but others do not. Like many other investments that may appreciate over time, rare coins require patience and a willingness to hold an investment which offers no current income. The markets for coins are unregulated. Prices can rise or fall. IPM is not affiliated with the U.S. Government nor the U.S. Mint. Past performance of the coin or the market cannot predict future performance.

Investor Grades: Most historic United States coins we sell at IPM are investor-grade-certified by independent third-party grading specialists including Professional Coin Grading Services (PCGS) and Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). Expert third-party grade certification offers buyers the additional protection of independent grading. In addition, when a coin is graded by an independent grading service, the company often provides its own guarantee of grading accuracy (please contact the grading service identified on the coin holder(s) for details; IPM does not independently guarantee the grading accuracy of any coin sold).

Collector Coins: Some coins we offer may have an as-yet unproven investment potential. Many of these unusual, beautiful and highly sought after items are often recommended as collectibles. In our advertising we do not recommend them as investments, and we make no claims as to the future value or growth projections for such collectibles. These are often inexpensive items, or have a high premium over their precious-metals content, and are often purchased because of their unique beauty rather than their investment potential, though they can appreciate in value in the future.

Investor Coins: Some coins we offer may be described as rare and, we believe, suitable for investment. IPM attempts to identify these as investment coins, and will happily discuss with you the history of any such coin, its historic growth in value and its potential for future increases in value, as we see it. As the future is unknown, however, no guarantee, express or implied, is made concerning the investment performance of any coin or its value in the future.

Coins described or categorized as rare coins have historically enjoyed the potential for particularly large gains in value, and as such many may be rightly seen as having sound potential as investment holdings. IPM expressly cautions the prospective investor that due to factors particular to the rare coin market, gross margins charged on rare coin sales often exceed those of other investment vehicles. Therefore, rare coins should be considered to be long-term investments with a holding period of at least three (3) to five (5) years. This time frame is a guideline only and should in no way be construed as a guarantee that any coin will ever realize any particular value.

Terms and Conditions of Sale:

Terms and Conditions to accompany and apply to each purchase from IPM:

As a material part of your purchase you agree to accept the following Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Guarantee: “If you are not satisfied with your purchase FOR ANY REASON, we will happily give you a refund within TEN (10) DAYS of the sale.” What this means is that we will give you your money back, excluding shipping and insurance charges (if any), so long as you do the following:

1.) Return the product to us within TEN (10) DAYS of the day you received it. The purchase must arrive in our store within Fifteen Days of the date on your receipt. 2.) Return the product to us in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING, with the coins in the same condition in which they were purchased, with their holders not being tampered with or otherwise disturbed. We cannot accept returns in cases where original, sealed packaging or holders have been opened or subject to other tampering, because this can bring into question the circulation quality, and thus the value, of the coins.

EXCEPTIONS: All sales or trades of bullion products of any and all precious metals are FINAL, and cannot be returned to us. Due to the potential market fluctuations of these items we cannot accept returns on bullion sales. Additionally, no guarantee applies to transactions involving any coin or other item, which are a special order, or for which special price and/or payment terms have been negotiated. In such cases sales are considered to be final.

Return Policy: If you paid CASH for your purchase (including check, bank wire or money order), the full amount of the purchase will be refunded to you by check, less any shipping and insurance charges. If you paid for your purchase with a credit card, we will credit the amount of your purchase to the card on which the purchase was made, less shipping and insurance charges. !Cash Discount Policy: All cash sales are eligible for a 3% discount. By “Cash” we mean the following types of payment: (1.) Cash—legal tender of the United States of America; (2.) Certified checks; money orders; or other bearer instruments which are immediately negotiable; and (3.) Your personal check, so long as the check is dated for the same date that the sale is made. IPM may verify and confirm that the check is immediately negotiable before confirming the payment.

Choice of Law: This sale occurred, for all purposes, in Hardin County, State of Texas; and a Court of proper jurisdiction in Hardin County, State of Texas is the sole forum for any legal disputes which may arise on account of any sales made by International Precious Metals, Inc. to anyone, or on account of any other dispute which may arise on account of the operation of International Precious Metals.

All items are offered for sale on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to prior sale. All prices are subject to change without notice. All offers are void where prohibited by law.

Market Loss Policy: When purchasing from International Precious Metals, the following policies apply: Once your price is locked in, the transaction may not be cancelled. It may only be offset at our current bid price. Payment for bullion transactions must be received within 48 hours. If payment is not received within 48 hours the order is cancelled and any deficit between the price at which you originally bought and the offsetting purchase price and/or prices, is your responsibility. That amount will be charged to you, plus a $35.00 (USD) cancellation fee.

Buyback Policy: IPM will buy coins originally acquired through IPM for the buyback price. The buyback price is defined as the price that IPM might immediately realize by selling the coin to another dealer on a wholesale basis, in addition to commission and transaction charges that are usual and customary in the retail coin market.

When selling to International Precious Metals, these policies apply: Once we have issued a confirmation number, the price is locked in for you and the transaction may not be cancelled, but only offset at our current buyback price. Items must be received within 5 days after you receive your confirmation number. After 5 days your transaction is considered cancelled and any deficit between the price at which we bought from you and the offsetting purchase price and/or prices, is your responsibility, should we fail to receive items within the period specified at the time of the transaction. That amount will be charged to you, plus a $35.00 (USD) cancellation fee.

This is our Market Loss Policy. Please note that any market gain on cancellations shall remain the property of International Precious Metals.

Web Content and Risk:  IPM will not be held responsible for content or pricing errors on the website.  All orders and prices must be confirmed before an order is considered valid.  Due to the technical nature of how we determine prices in real time, errors can and do occur.  We will contact you in the event of a problem with your order.  IPM reserves the right to cancel and/or refund an order at any time.
