In 2017, the United States Mint introduced an American Eagle One Ounce Palladium Bullion Coin - the first major change to the American Eagle bullion coin program since 1997! This year, the magnificent Palladium Eagle has been reborn in a breathtaking proof finish from the West Point Mint. International Precious Metals has proudly received an allocation of first-ever 2018 American Eagle Palladium Proof coins, featuring the Early Releases” designation and “Joel Iskowitz” Signature label from NGC. Each coin contains one ounce of .9995 palladium. American Eagle Palladium Proof Coins come in a one ounce size only.
The obverse design features a high-relief likeness of “Winged Liberty” from the “Mercury Dime” obverse by famed American coin designer and medallic artist Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse design features a highrelief version of Weinman’s 1907 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Gold Medal reverse, which includes an eagle and a branch. In developing the coin, the United States Mint was able to use the original reverse plaster of the AIA gold medal. This is only the second time that Weinman’s AIA design appears on a U.S. coin.
