2021 100th Anniversary Silver Morgan Dollar

2021 100TH Anniversary Morgan Silver * .999 Fine Silver Coins

100th Anniversary of the Morgan Silver Dollar Program * Special Release

This year, the U.S. Mint will re-issue the beloved Morgan Dollar in honor of its last year of minting in 1921. The 2021 Morgan Dollar is part of the Morgan and Peace Dollar Anniversary Coin Program.

Minted from 1878 to 1904, and again in 1921, the Morgan Dollar was designed by Mint Chief Engraver George T. Morgan (1845-1925). The conversion from the Morgan Dollar to the Peace Dollar design in 1921 reflected a pivotal moment in American history. The Morgan Dollar represented the country’s westward expansion and industrial development in the late 19th century. The Peace Dollar symbolized the country’s coming of age as an international power, as well as marking the peace between the U.S. and Germany after World War I.

There will be five versions of the uncirculated-finish 2021 Morgan Dollar to recognize the Mint facilities responsible for minting the original coin. Coins made by the Denver and San Francisco Mint facilities will bear “D” and “S” mint marks, respectively. The Philadelphia Mint will produce three versions:

• No mint mark to recognize the historic Philadelphia Mint
• “O” privy mark to recognize the historic Mint in New Orleans, LA
• “CC” privy mark to recognize the historic Mint in Carson City, NV
